River Poodles Training, LLC is owned and operated by Judy Harris and operates in Central Missouri. Judy travels extensively promoting nose work by teaching all levels of nose work classes and holding workshops and clinics. Judy is a Certified Nose Work Instructor (CNWI) through the National Association of Canine Scent Work (NACSW™), a NACSW™ Certifying Official, a NACSW™ Supervising CO and a NACSW™ ORT Coordinator.
Judy has over 10 years of experience training and competing in a wide variety of dog sports. She has handled dogs who have achieved the following titles:
Her standard poodle Desi crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on 11-2-18. He was retired and had earned the Champion Tracker and NACSW™ Elite 2 title. Moni has earned the Elite CH title which is the highest level of competition through NACSW™. She is retired and keeps the boys in line. Ritz has earned the NW3 Elite title and Razz has earned one leg toward his NW3 title.
Evita (Vita) is the new kid at the river poodles house and is having fun learning the place board, working nose work puzzles and lots of other fun games. Ritz and Razz are both learning about field work, and having a ball.
Judy has been interested in scent work for many years through tracking then NACSW™ expanded her opportunities for more nose work fun. She continues her education in scent training through camps, workshops, seminars and private training.
She offers group classes and private nose work lessons in mid Missouri.

K9 Nose Work® classes (all Levels) are held in the Jefferson City/Central Missouri area.
This sport is a fun search and scenting activity for all dogs and people. This easy-to-learn sport builds confidence and focus in many dogs and provides a safe way to keep dogs fit and healthy through mental and physical exercise.
K9 Nose Work starts with getting your dog excited about using his nose to find a favorite toy or treat reward hidden in one of several boxes, expanding the game to entire rooms, exterior areas, and vehicles. As your dog grows more confident with his nose, target odors are introduced, and competition skills are taught.
